Hi, I'm Karina, an award-winning creative copywriter from Los Angeles that's currently working and living in London. The question I'm always asked: Why the heck did you move?!

I'm a traveler. It's in my SOUL. I started traveling when I was a few months old in my dad’s backpack and I took my first solo trip to Australia when I was 12 years old. Since then I've been backpacking across 26+ different countries and leaving pieces of my heart in each.

I am a person who craves new experiences and adventure, so I blew up my life in the best way possible (NO REGRETS!) and moved to Edinburgh two years ago to get a Masters in Creative Advertising from Edinburgh Napier Uni. Along the way I also picked up D&AD Yellow Pencil! I moved to London to kick the advertising industry’s ass and found my home at MullenLowe in August 2018. I’ve been working on brands like Persil and Amazon Prime Video ever since and won MullenLowe the Amazon Prime Video business with my creative idea. My first pitch ever!

My passion project is writing for my travel blog, SpotTheRedhead.com. And, before all of this (back in the day) I was a makeup artist so I love to paint my crazy ideas, using my face as a canvas (@WFHlooks on Insta.) I'm like a chicken without a head sometimes and venture into writing poetry, painting, giving talks to junior creatives, writing and performing crazy songs, video editing and way too much more (see 'After Hours' for more!)

Last few thoughts about me: I worked four years in Los Angeles startup agencies where I honed my copywriting, SEO, photography, social media, and photoshop skills. I'm a proud feminist, a situational comedian, and obsessive dog-spotter (and petter!)
